Fullerton House School is a specialist residential school, offering flexible education and care for up to 52 weeks per year, for young people aged 8 to 19. All of our young people have complex needs including behaviour that may challenge and a learning disability, often in association with autism.
We are now looking to appoint a Care Manager at Fullerton House School. As a key
player in the senior management team of Fullerton House School, this role
requires a proactive individual to contribute to the effective day to
day operational management of the service in your area and its
resources. This will include the line management of a team of care and
vocational professionals and the responsibility for quality assurance
and legislative compliance.
At Fullerton House School, young people live in the heart of the community, in an urban setting with facilities including a local sports centre with swimming pool, supermarket, outdoor market, shops, playgrounds, cafés, restaurants and large open spaces for outdoor activities.
You will be expected to demonstrate strong leadership skills and to
perform to a professional standard that uphold Hesley Group Values and
code of conduct. You will ensure that the high standards are maintained
in the contexts of outcomes for the people we support, staffing,
delegated budgets and resources, and the health and safety and well-being of the people we support, colleagues and visitors.
You will have significant experience of working with people with
Learning Disabilities, knowledge of National Care Standards and have a
track record of effective leadership in a social care setting. You will
have a minimum of Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care. You will
also be Level 5 registered in Leadership for Health and Social Care and
Young Peoples Services (or achieve this within one year of appointment).
