Established in 1975, the Hesley Group provides flexible, specialist residential services and schools. We aim to offer the best possible care, education and vocational opportunities for young people and adults, often with autism, who have a learning disability and complex needs including behaviour that may challenge.

Our colleges offer flexible education, care and enablement for up to 52 weeks per year for young adults aged 18 to 25. All the young people using the colleges have complex needs including behaviour that may challenge and a learning disability, often in association with autism.

We are now looking to appoint an Acting Team leader within Wilsic Hall College.  There are two distinct aspects to the role of Team leader, a direct support role to the people who use our services and a management function.

You will be responsible for the general supervision of the direct care provision of a team of support staff to ensure that the people who use our services receive person centred care support. Mentoring, supervising, coaching and assessing support workers practice is the primary focus of this role along with the influencing of staff performance and acting as an excellent role model.

It is essential that you hold a Diploma level 3 / 4  in Health and Social care and have significant experience of health and social care. This is a great opportunity for someone with the right skills to gain further experience in a management role.

You will be joining a team who are passionate about safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people we support and a company who values its employees.

If you are a patient, an excellent communicator, caring and passionate about supporting people, working with The Hesley Group will prove to be a fulfilling and rewarding career.

For an informal conversation about this role please contact Scott Groves on 01302 856382.
