Established in 1975, the Hesley Group provides flexible, specialist residential services and schools. We aim to offer the best possible care, education and vocational opportunities for young people and adults, often with autism, who have a learning disability and complex needs including behaviour which may challenge.

Our colleges offer flexible education, care and enablement for up to 52 weeks per year for young adults aged 18 to 25. All the young people using the colleges have complex needs including behaviour that may challenge and a learning disability, often in association with autism.

Within Wilsic Hall College we are now seeking to appoint a Deputy Care Manager to work closely with our Care Manager’s.

We are looking for a confident manager to support and deputise in all aspects of care provision for a residential area.  This will involve staffing, budget and resource issues along with care planning and evaluation to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of our young people is paramount.

We’ll expect you to live and breathe our values by ensuring we take a person-centred approach that’s driven by quality and focused on positive outcomes. You will be a skilled practitioner who is able to build effective professional relationships with our key internal and external stakeholders.

Partnership with families and facilitating the voice of the people we support are priorities of our service. 

To be successful in this role you must have an in-depth knowledge of the issues affecting our people. You will be an excellent communicator with experience of effectively leading and managing a team.

It is essential that you have Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care and ILM Management Award would be a distinct advantage (or achieved within the first year)
