I have been working for the Hesley Group since April 2016. My role involves working under the supervision of a Consultant Clinical Psychologist to; conduct psychology assessments, observation, staff training, formulation, develop individual behaviour support plans, conduct functional assessment and do individual therapeutic work with the people we support (to name a few).

I graduated from Leeds University in 2011 with a BSc (Hons) in Forensic Psychology. During my time at university I completed two work placements. One within the inclusion class of a primary school, working with young children experiencing various difficulties at home and/or at school. The second working in a multi-systemic therapy team, who worked with adolescents within the criminal justice system and their families, with a focus on rehabilitation, keeping them within the family home and education.

I began my career after graduation as a support worker for adults with complex needs and behaviours that challenge. I progressed through the company over the 5 years I was there to become a key worker and then moved into a management role for the last 3 years.

When I’m not working I am kept very busy being a mummy to my 6-year-old son and spending time with family and friends.

My future goal is to train as a Clinical Psychologist by completing a doctoral course in Clinical Psychology.
