In school data: student performance against internal progress measures

Target Setting Rationale
Every September target setting meetings are held including the class teacher and school leaders. Here challenging targets are set between 0.30-1.00 of a p level or national curriculum level. The exact target set is dependent upon:

Past progression rate
Prevalence of subject within the students personalised curriculum
Importance of the subject against the students EHCP objectives
Accreditation outcomes
Level of SEN and learning difficulty.

Plus (+) targets are set to promote and record significantly accelerated rates of progress.

Further details are available from the school upon request.

Transition away from P Levels
In line with recommendations of the Rochford Review 2016 Fullerton House is transitioning away from use of the P Levels and National Curriculum Levels through the 2018-19 school years. Alternative progress measures will be provided to stakeholders in either progression steps or engagement steps depending on each student’s stage in their development. The planned transitional change will continue to recognise students’ historical learning and will not disrupt the target setting procedures senior managers use to monitor student progress. Further details on this change and the new system are available from the school upon request.
